Individual Tournament Season January 12th-March 7th:
As a chartered USA club, we have the opportunity to compete in various individual tournaments throughout the season. Individual tournaments generally start in January and continue until the ISWA State Champisonship. There are two tournaments in Columbus as well as in surrounding towns. Beginners tournaments are available for wresters with 0-2 years experience. Families are able to go to as many or as few tournaments according to their personal schedule. Also, it is possible for a wrestler to only continue training and not compete. This second session is an additional $60.
Olympic Wrestling Season March 9th-May 9th:
After the Folkstyle season (Folkstyle is the style of wrestling used in middle school/high school/college) our club starts a third session for Olympic wrestling. Freestyle and Greco-Roman are the styles wrestled around the world and in the Olympics. This session will cost $25 for CNWC members or $50 for non-members. The club will bring in special guest clinicians that have wrestled or coached in college and the highest levels of the sport. Our wrestlers will also have the opportunity to wrestle in individual tournaments and the State tournament. This season starts in mid-March and continues to mid-May. CNWC has placed as high as 2nd place in the ISWA Freestyle State as a team.
