CNWC Rec League

Columbus North 6 Week Program

The foundation of our program starts with the Columbus North Rec League. The goal of the program is to introduce the sport of wrestling to students and parents in a fun and exciting atmosphere.  Wrestling is a great sport for kids as it builds athleticism, teaches work ethic, provides friendships, and because you only compete against children your own size and age anyone can do it!

If wrestlers have finished the 6 week program and would still like to wrestle, parents can register them for the CNWC Competition Program.  Parents will just have to pay the remaining $40 to enter the program.  Please see the details on the Competition Program page.

How do I join?

Go to cnwrestle.com click on the registration tab and fill out all of the necessary information. Everyone must register and initial the waiver.

Where are practices held?

Practices for the 6 week program are at Columbus North HS wrestling room.  Enter door 40 and bring wrestlers to the wrestling room.  There is a foyer outside of the wrestling room with limited seating where parents can stay.  There is also a hallway area with some seating.  No one is to sit in the work out area inside of the wrestling room.

When are practices?
This 6 week course of basic fundamentals will culminate in an intramural competition for parents to  watch during the last practice.

What do I wear?

All you need to participate at practice is athletic clothes like shorts/joggers/athletic pants and t-shirt.  We reccommend mouthpiece, headgear, and wrestling shoes.  Your wrestler can practice in socks until you are sure they want to continue in the program. (absolutely, no street shoes on the wrestling mat)

Cost

Registration is $60 (Each wrestler will recieve a T-shirt)
